More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a jump rope coach for kids aged 4+ since 2015. I have coached up to 70 kids throughout multiple programs for 6 years. Normal gym schedule would have 20-30 kids in it at a time, and I would run those groups three times a week.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Drawing, I personally love to draw cartoons and color with kids. Putting on step by step kid youtube drawing channels to allow for kids of all ages to try drawing. I also love kids giving requests of their favourite characters for me to try and recreate.
I am a big into imagination play. I played will dolls and Barbies until I was well into 6th grade, and I love interacting through toys and creating fun situations to play.
I would always spend time outside (if the weather permitted) with the kids I nannied. We would go for walks almost daily, where we would collect rocks, leafs, or sticks that we could come home and create crafts out of.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Providing kids with a safe space to grow and learn where they are comfortable to communicate their feelings and needs.
My experience with special needs children...
Babysat a boy with Autism from the age of 2 until he turned 13 (when he started to watch himself)
Babysat a boy with ADHD since he was a newborn until he was 12.
Coached two kids with downs syndrome jump rope.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My most memorable was when I saw the boy I started watching at 11 months took his first steps. It made me proud, but also sad for his parents, as I know he had not walked before. I was thankfully able to grab my phone and record him which I emailed to his parents.
Another moment that stand out is when I was able to attend the Christmas concert of the 4 year old I nannied and was able to record the whole thing for her parents which I texted them right away. I enjoyed being able to keep them updated as much as possible and to share all the moments they will love to have documented.
