The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion, the most important part of caring for a child is building a bond with them while also maintaining a safe and productive environment for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for multiple special needs children with varying disabilities and care necessities such as -
An autistic child who needed their shoes re-tied every 30 minutes, A diabetic child who struggled with maintaining their blood sugar and using their insulin pump, A non-verbal child who didn't have a easy way to communicate their needs, And a child who is an amputee and needed constant assistance with all common every-day activities including using the restroom and feeding/hydrating themself.

My favorite experience that I have had so far in my time caring for children is when a almost completely non-verbal child that I was caring for regularly for almost 2 years ended up saying my name for the first time. ♡
