More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have several years of childcare experience through the YMCA as a daycare attendant, camp counselor, and swim instructor. I’ve cared for children from infants through school age, planned activities, crafts and games, supervised field trips and swimming, and communicated with parents. I also have experience working in a church daycare caring for infants and young children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

From my experience as a camp counselor, I especially enjoy playing games, doing crafts, swimming, outdoor activities, and coming up with fun ways to keep kids entertained!

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with many children on the autism spectrum and have also taken several college courses focused on special education. I understand that children with special needs may require extra patience, understanding, and individualized care. I believe every child deserves a caregiver who takes the time to understand their unique needs, strengths, and personality.
