I work as a waitress where I handle children every day and love finding little ways to ease a child’s stress to make it easier on the parents. Kids take time and patience and lots more patience. I don’t have any children of my own so it makes it a lot easier for me to be crazy excited about helping little brains grow. What a pleasure it is.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to cook, so one of my favorite parts of nannying is cooking for the kids, getting them involved and teaching them as I go. I love puzzles, books, and making up stories. This time of year sledding and snowball fights are a must. Story writing is one of my favorites, seeing just how deep the kids imaginations can go, witnessing that childlike sense of wonder never gets old.

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is maintaining a positive relationship with the children and the parents. Making sure your own opinions do not interfere with the way the parents wants their child raised. Always listen to the parents, they always know best.
The most important part about being a nanny...
So far, my favorite moment as a nanny/babysitter was when I was asked by one of the kids, "Emma, are you still a kid?" Because yes, I am! I say heck no to growing old, we’ll all be kids forever.
