Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a full time caregiver to my grandmother with Alzheimer’s for three years. She isn’t a child, but I do think this has provided me with skills that have helped me when I care for children. I had to create a routine for her. I prepared her meals. I bathed and helped dress her. I definitely think caring for her made me more patient and allowed me to become very compassionate to those in need.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
going to museums, baking, taking advantage of Memphis’ great parks, and painting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
is providing children with attention and care. I think another importance of being a nanny is allowing the parents to take a breath and relax. A nanny is there to help take some of that stress off of you!
