More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up the oldest daughter of six children so I have been caring for children since I was very young. My parents have always been very busy and therefore a lot of the childcare and household chores have always been part of my responsibility. I also have nannied for children outside of my family. Over the summer I took care of a baby boy for 8 hours a day during the week.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to read and encourage reading to the children I take care of. Whether that be setting time aside for everyone to read individually, or reading to the children myself. I grew up very athletic and therefore enjoy all sorts of outside activities. I like to take the children I take care of to the park to play sports (soccer is my favorite) or to run around and play tag. I have recently taken up crocheting and would love to teach that to older children as I have found it is a very calming and useful activity. I also love to swim and spend time at the beach!
