A little bit about me

My name is Emmakate and I am 22 years old! I am from McDonough, GA and just moved back after graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Exercise Science (pre professional healthcare concentration). I plan to become a neonatal NP in the future. I have been around children my whole life and can not wait to one day have kids of my own. I grew up in a family of 7 with two younger sisters that I helped care for. I have also babysat for several family friends. Four years ago, I was blessed with the most beautiful niece who I have played an instrumental role in raising and has lived in my home since birth. She has epilepsy so I have experience with caring for special medical needs. I have worked as a gymnastics coach and camp counselor at a local gym where I cared for many children at once. The most important part about being a nanny...

While I have too many special memories with little ones to count, I would have to say the sweetest moment was when I had laid the little girl down to bed and I prayed with her just like we did every night. On this specific night she decided it was her turn to say the prayer. And let me tell you this baby has the sweetest heart. She thanked baby Jesus for everything, literally everything. She began by saying "thank you for my family" like we always said and some how ended up thanking him for giving her construction paper. While this did make me giggle a little it was a very sweet moment. Kids are so innocent and appreciate the small things in life like construction paper.
