The most important part about being a nanny...
I used to nanny for a family with a two-year-old, and every day before his nap we had the same little routine. I would read him a couple of books, turn on his sound machine, and tuck him in. Right as I’d pull the blanket up, he’d look up at me with these big eyes and say, “Ahmmaa… I love you.” He said it every single day, and it honestly made my eyes well up every time. It was the sweetest thing, and one of those moments that reminded me why I love this work so much.
