Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used to work for a family with 4 kids. A 2 year old, 4 year old, 6 year old, and 8 year old. Two of them were foster children so they no longer live with them. The other two are old enough to be home alone now. So I am looking forward to being able to work for other children and meet new families.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy hand on activities. For example, building, coloring, making slime, and having them learn while doing it. I also like being able to get at least 2hours of outside activities a day with children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I the important part it being able to connect with the children. I feel like making a connection with them and the parents will help them for more comfortable while the parents are away.
My experience with special needs children...
My older brother has autism so I’ve grow up with a child with special needs. I would help watch him while my mother went away and enjoyed helping him through the day. I also worked as a student assistant in a special education classroom my last two years of high school.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are honestly just connecting with the kids. Helping them love learning and also being able to have a trusting connection with their parents. It’s hard having trusting other to watch your kids, and if I could help make that bond, I’d love to.
