I worked in my churches nursery for about 3 years. As well as cared for my neighbors 5 boys, who were ages from 1 to 11. Over the years I have cared for various families children from my church. I have baby cousins that I have watched over the years as well, ages newborn to 5. I have been a nanny for a couple of families. I cared for a three year old little girl, on a part time basis, as well as a year and a half old girl, 3 year old boy.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am very hands on with the children I care for. I love doing age appropriate activities with the kids as well as creative and learning activities. I have a Montessori background, so I think it is very important applying hands on material. Anything from coloring, reading, walking to the park. I am also learning sign so I am able to help little ones learn to communicate before they can speak.

It is very important to me to feel like family with the family I work for. It's not just a job where you take care of kids, it's a privilege and an honor to be able to care for someones child. It is a very important job. I want to feel at home with the family as well as them feeling just as comfortable with me. Engaging with their little one is my main priority. I am looking for a family to work for long term, gives me the opportunity care for an infant through toddler years and beyond if needed. Being beside the child as they experience their big accomplishments is such a privilege and brings my heart such joy! It really is such a beautiful thing and I would be honored to be a part of it with the family I work for.
