Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
During high school, I participated in the CrossAge Literacy program which allowed me the opportunity to work with Kindergarten-aged students to enhance their reading capabilities. Last year, I was a teacher at Nobel Education Institute, where I was responsible for maintaining a professional, yet, welcoming classroom in which my students could remain focused on their schoolwork. Now as a student at USC, I am a tutor for the JEP ReadersPLUS program which allows me to work with students of various grade levels who are struggling in their reading and mathematics domains—ultimately serving as a mentor. Throughout my experience, I have learned the importance of developing a meaningful relationship with a child.
