Meeting the children's emotional needs and also meeting the emotional needs of the parents. It's very hard as a parent to let someone else care for your children. Trust and mutual respect are imperative.

My own son had a speech delay. Early intervention services came to our house 3 days a week for speech, OT, and spdcial education. My son is thriving now. I have not formally nannied for a child with special needs.
