My responsibilities included supervised play, preparing meals and snack, changing diapers, assisted in potty training, leading age appropriate centers, outdoor play, arts, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I also have years of babysitting experience, providing attentive dependable care in my families and my own home. I love spending time outdoors, going to the park, reading books, doing arts and craft, playing games, and encouraging imaginative play. I enjoy helping children learn through fun! The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids know that they have me they can come to and that I will try my best to be what I need for them and if that just needing someone to listen, someone to give advice, someone to explain something to them. That is what is important.
My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience caring for children with special needs. I've babysat my cousin who has autism and I have also cared for my 11 year old cousin, who has co.plex medical needs. She is nonverbal, nonambulatory, and is tube fed. Ive cared for both independently over weekends, following safe, routine care. Ensuring safety, comfortability, and care. These experiences have taught me patience, co compassion, adaptability, and the importance of individual care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was baking Christmas cookies with the kids and the entire kitchen was a mess, the cookies looked horrible (they decorated it) but in the end we all had fun and they tasted delicious.
