More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a daycare but unfortunately had to move for college. I started when I was 16 and left just last June. I worked with all of ages of children from 3 months-12 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Drawing, coloring, homework help, picking up/taking to school, playing outside, taking walks, playing with toys, dressup/pretend, etc!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part about being a nanny is making sure the child not only has everything they need and putting their needs over everything else but also be someone they can come to to talk or have you hold them and let them know that you are there for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I have helped care for a child with special needs with my mom but have had no experience by myself. One of my family members has special needs and I volunteer at the Special Olympics every year!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is I had one little girl who was 5 years old who had a pretty tough time with her family life so often spent time with me even when I wasn't being her nanny and getting paid. She was very upset when I stopped being her nanny because I left for college. I went back to my hometown to watch my brothers at a football game and I look over and here comes this little girl running to me with tears in her eyes. She runs up to me and just gives me the biggest hug ever and just kept saying how much she missed me. So I would have to say my favorite thing about being a nanny is the bond and impact you can make with a child to have special moment like this.
