More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked at church based daycare for 6 years and I have babysat for family and others for over 8 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love reading with children and doing different crafts including, painting, coloring, gluing, and other artworks. I also love playing games like board games or "pretend" games. I love taking them outside to run or go on walks. I also enjoy "looking" for different wildlife and other outdoor creatures. I am also always ready to go swimming or hiking.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is helping a family raise their tiny humans to be great people and to ensure they are having a fun and loving childhood. I love helping children grow and blossom into who they are supposed to be in a safe and nurturing environment.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with one special needs child through a program during my undergraduate time at JMU. I provided respite care for the child's mom and did many different activities like making pizza, playing basketball, and playing video and board games.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have had so many sweet and funny moments from all of my daycare children and other babysitting families. I always love when the kids are so excited to tell me a story or even just a joke and they immediately get excited and a huge smile when I listen to their stories. I love when I get a hug from almost the entire class because I haven't seen them in a week or even two days. I also love how I am still close to one of the families I babysit for even though the kids are older now and I'm not there as much. I still go to all of their events, games, and parties to show up for them.

I have taken care kids of all ages, taken care of children with special needs before, and have some experience with children with medical needs. I have lots of experience with infants and toddlers as well as babysitting multiple children at once.
I also have a history as a pet sitter, and have taken care of many dogs and cats. I own a cat currently and grew up with two dogs so I am more than comfortable with pets. I have access to my own car and a drivers license, so I am able to run errands and pick up as well.
