A little bit about me

I am a dedicated and experienced nanny looking for a long term position. I am comfortable handling every aspect of childcare, as well as managing the household. I love taking walks, reading, music, crafts and cooking. My mother’s instinct and need to nurture made being a nanny my perfect job. I love to watch kids learn and be creative and have fun. My goal is to keep them engaged, happy, healthy and safe

"Erin has been simply outstanding over the past 9.8 YEARS with us! She's helped raise our two children (currently 10yo boy and 5yo girl) better than we could ever have expected or imagined. She was there at the beginning of our children's lives and guided them both through each step of development. She individualized her approach to each kid and fostered their creativity and desire to learn. Our son has autism and ADHD, which is challenging for him and us. Erin has been so very good with him. She knows all of his sensitivities, routines, preferences, and fears. Both kids are attached to Miss Erin and truly love her. She's become part of our family and has never let us down, which says a lot after almost a decade of loyal service. My extended family knows her and her name has actually become a term to describe the ultimate nanny. When referencing what someone is looking for, they'll say, "We need to find an Erin." She was born to do this and we couldn't be more pleased that we found her."

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve spent several years working in a daycare setting before accepting a job caring for twins, a 3 year old and a 5 year old. I have spent the last 10 years with the same family helping to raise their two children and manage the household.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

While they are infants I like to take walks, read books, engage them with visual and verbal stimuli and play in a way that works on fine and gross motor skills, language development. It’s so rewarding to see the babies reach out a toy for the first time, or roll over. Getting to witness all those first moments feels amazing. I also try and help develop a schedule and routine that help give the kids a sense of security. As they grow older I start incorporating age appropriate crafts and activities. I have fun spending time outdoors (weather permitting)playing (bubbles and sidewalk chalk ect). I start exposing them to clean up activities and academics. Making learning fun can prepare them and make absorbing information come easier

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love baby snuggles and quality time. I love being able to teach the kids and watch them learn new things. I love getting to watch them grow up and love knowing that I’m playing a part in their health , happiness and how they experience life.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with children with severe allergies and dietary restrictions, ADHD and high functioning Autism

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite memories are when the kids and I have fun making forts with sheets and obstacle courses with things we find around the house. They are so creative and appreciate the small things and that just warms my heart. Recently we took a cardboard box from a dishwasher and turned it into an elaborate McDonald’s drive thru. We had a tinfoil microphone and a big menu display made out of pictures we cut out of a grocery ad. Those are the moments I love
