More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For the past 10 years, I’ve been running an arts and crafts school out of my home, called the center of creativity. I have a website and an Instagram if you wanna look up my work with children. I run summer camps for kids, workshops for adults, and nine month homeschool programs as well. I have a wealth of experience working with children, and I’ve made it part of my lives work to support the next generations development, and well-being. I would be also interested in a care support position for adults as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Beach time, water play, mud play, nature crafts, Hawaiian crafts, drawing, painting, basically any type of arts and crafts, I love to bring handwork to children, sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, etc. I love to be timeless in nature with children and do fort building, creating fairy houses, climbing trees,, walking and hikes. Gardening. Harvesting food and meal preparation together
The most important part about being a nanny...
To give the parents peace of mind, and to give the children an auntie who loves them and is someone they can emulate and be inspired by
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have a lot of experience with children of physical handicaps or children with illnesses, but I am open to these experiences.
I do work with all kinds of children, neurodivergent children, autistic children, children with challenging behavior, etc. Children tend to really like me, and because of this, we form a strong bond, and we’re able to grow and get through hard things.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I did some nannying between the ages of 15-20 years old, but I haven’t nannied since then, because I became a teacher and moved into the school system. I’ve been teaching for about 25 years now. Im in a transitional moment and want to take a pause in my teaching.

Babysitter Available in Hilo, HI: Teyahlia K.
Hi! My name is Teyahlia, I'm 20 years old, and most of my childcare experience comes from being the oldest of three as well as babysitting younger cousins and close family friends.
I genuinely love working with kids, and I'm naturally tidy, so helping with clean-up or light household tasks is never an issue.
I'm reliable, patient, and here to help however I can!
I did not attend college after graduating high school. Instead, I worked under my dad's construction business while also taking on evening cleaning jobs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. During that time, I began building something for myself-creating a small local business that allowed me to follow my own path and pursue work I genuinely enjoy.
- Although I haven't completed formal certification, I took CPR and First Aid courses during both my junior and senior years of high school.
