A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Eunice Olajimi, and I pride myself on being a hard-working, optimistic person who strives to bring fun and positivity to every situation. I am the second oldest of 6 children and thus have had a lot of experience babysitting and taking care of kids from a young age. For a couple of years in high school and summers in college, I taught Sunday school classes at my church for students aged 5 - 12. I also worked as a teaching aid and tutor at a middle school here in Houston. I am pursuing a medical career; specifically, I want to be a pediatrician. I say all this to show how much I enjoy children and take the job of caring for them seriously. I am very good at keeping them engaged and entertained, and I enjoy connecting with each child in a way specific to their personal needs. In addition to attending to your child, I tutor in many subjects. I hope to provide you and your family with quality care!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience babysitting; I served my church for years as a Sunday school teacher, and I have also worked as a middle school teaching aid and tutor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love outdoor activities with children ie sports, swimming, lounging, etc. I also really enjoy participating in activities that bring that specific child joy. For quieter children, they enjoy activities like coloring or reading. Other more active children enjoy more active activities. I also really enjoy doing new things with children and seeing their creativity flourish.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is understanding the child's needs and how the parents would like their child taken care of. It is really important to connect with the child while respecting any boundaries or requests set by the parent.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have experience with special needs children

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite babysitting moment was when I babysat a toddler named Isreal. His parents told me he was extremely shy and did not take to people well, so they were nervous about leaving him in the first place. Understanding this, I went into babysitting with Isreal open and with the mindset that I was going to not force too much interaction with him but allow him to really be himself. In doing so, I joined in on the activities Isreal enjoyed, like flipping through a book or playing with his blocks. By not forcing him to play or interact with me in the same way my more active kids did in the past, I noticed Isreal opened up, and by the end of the night I had him giggling, and he did not want to leave my side. His parents were so surprised when they got home, and I could see how much it meant to them to see their child happy and connect with others.

I'm a mature, dependable, and upbeat nanny with a genuine love for children and years of experience as both a live-in and live-out caregiver. Recently returning to regular nannying has reminded me how much I enjoy supporting families. I'm often described as warm, trustworthy, and attentive, bringing calm, structure, and positivity into the home.

I have experience with children of all ages, from newborns to teens, and I take pride in creating a safe, nurturing, engaging environment. I enjoy planning creative activities, maintaining routines, and being a supportive presence.

I'm artistic and love incorporating crafts, music, and imaginative play. I also play guitar, which children enjoy. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, have reliable transportation, am pet-friendly, and speak Portuguese and Spanish.

I work part-time with one family on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons only and available all other times. I'm seeking a kind, consistent family to support.
Farrah B. - Seeking Work in Houston

Part-Time Nanny Available in Houston, TX: Farrah B.

My name is Farah, and I am 18 years old. I currently attend Texas Southern University, where I am majoring in Education because I enjoy working with children and hope to build a career in this field. I have experience caring for kids through helping watch my younger cousins and siblings, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and how to engage with children of different ages. In addition, I previously worked at Altitude Trampoline Park, where I supervised children and ensured they were playing safely and following rules. While I have not held a formal babysitting or daycare position yet, my experience in both family care and a supervised, kid focused work environment has helped me develop strong childcare and communication skills.
