A little bit about me

I have been babysitting my neighbors’ kids since I was 16. One of them I started when she was around 8 and another neighbor when she was around 6months. I also have a little sister that is 9 years younger than me, so I have a lot of experience taking care of children! I will be starting school in June so I could be full time until then. I would like to be part time once starting school as well if that’s okay with the family.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was babysitting triplets, there were 2 boys that were very outgoing and loved everyone, but the last one was extremely withdrawn and did not like anybody. By the end of the night, the quiet boy and I were attached at the hip. He was following me everywhere, wanted to play all of his games with me, and he eventually fell asleep on me because he didn’t want to sleep alone in his room. He also got jealous if I was playing to much with his brothers, which I thought was so sweet, but was a good learning point as well. When the parents came back home, they said that he had never liked a nanny enough to not cry at least once during the night and that he usually never really left his room. This was my best nanny moment, knowing that I was able to make that little boy feel so safe without his parents present and I felt honored that it was me he chose to open up to.
