More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have several years of experience working with children and youth through my church. I have served in the nursery, taught and led youth group and youth church, and taught classes during Vacation Bible School. Through these roles, I planned activities, taught Bible lessons, mentored children and teens, and helped create a safe, encouraging, and engaging environment for all ages.

In addition to my church experience, I worked as a nanny during the COVID-19 pandemic, caring for a 2-year-old girl. My responsibilities included supervising daily activities, preparing meals and snacks, engaging in age-appropriate play and learning activities, and providing attentive, nurturing care throughout the day.

These experiences, along with being a mother myself, have strengthened my patience, leadership skills, reliability, and passion for caring for children.

Being a mom was always my life goal. I love kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a very creative and energetic person who loves helping children learn, explore, and have fun. I enjoy many different forms of art and love incorporating creativity into activities, crafts, and playtime.

I also have a strong background in sports. I played varsity volleyball all four years of high school and helped coach the junior varsity team. I enjoy encouraging children to stay active, build confidence, and develop teamwork skills through sports and games.

My family loves activities such as tea parties, golf outings, and other fun adventures. I have a particular love for all things vintage and whimsical, and I enjoy creating memorable, imaginative experiences that spark creativity and joy in children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite part about working with children is watching them grow into who they are. It is incredible to see their personalities, interests, and passions develop as they learn more about themselves and the world around them. I love encouraging children as they discover new skills, overcome challenges, and build confidence in their abilities.

I believe it is important for children to learn how to understand and express their emotions, develop resilience, and feel supported as they navigate life's ups and downs. Being able to celebrate their successes, help them work through difficulties, and watch their confidence grow is one of the most rewarding parts of caring for children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience supporting children and teens with special needs through both church ministry and caregiving. Three of the girls in my youth group had special needs, and I enjoyed helping them feel included, supported, and valued.

I have always had a special place in my heart for individuals with disabilities. I admire their unique perspectives, kindness, and genuine nature, and I believe every child deserves to be understood and encouraged. If I were to return to school, I would pursue speech-language pathology, as I am passionate about helping individuals communicate and thrive.

Much of my experience has been with the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. I completed four years of sign language courses, attended a Deaf church while in college in Florida, and was actively involved in that community. I have also volunteered with the Deaf community and worked as a caregiver for individuals with disabilities, developing strong communication, patience, and adaptability.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories as a nanny was the bond I built with the little girl I cared for. Over time, we became very close, and she would often get sad when it was time for me to leave. While it was always hard to say goodbye, it meant a lot to know that she felt safe, loved, and cared for in my presence. Moments like that remind me why I enjoy working with children so much—building trusting relationships and knowing that I have made a positive impact in their lives is incredibly rewarding.
