A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Fatimah!
I’ve been working with children for over two years and have truly loved every moment of it. During that time, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for kids of different ages, helping with daily routines, educational activities, playtime, and providing a safe, nurturing environment.

I’m also currently in school pursuing a nursing degree, with the goal of becoming a pediatric nurse. Working with children is something I’m deeply passionate about, and being a nanny allows me to combine my love for caregiving with my long-term career goals. I bring patience, responsibility, and a calm, playful energy to every family I work with. I believe in creating a warm and supportive atmosphere where children can feel secure, confident, and cared for.

I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to making a positive impact in both children’s lives and the families I support.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a teacher aide at a daycare, I’ve gained hands-on experience working with young children in a professional childcare setting. My responsibilities included assisting lead teachers in supervising children during play, helping with meal and snack times, managing nap schedules, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I also supported learning activities by helping children with early educational tasks such as counting, letter recognition, arts and crafts, and story time.

Working in a daycare taught me how to be patient, nurturing, and adaptable to the needs of each child. I learned how to respond to different temperaments, maintain routines, and communicate effectively with both kids and their parents. This role helped me build strong foundational skills in childcare that directly apply to being a dedicated and trustworthy nanny.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging children in creative activities like arts and crafts, story time, and imaginative play. I also love outdoor games, dancing, music, and simple science experiments that spark curiosity. I enjoy helping with learning-based games, puzzles, and age-appropriate activities that support development and build confidence. I like encouraging routines, social skills, and positive behavior in fun, supportive ways.

My experience with special needs children...

At the daycare where I work as a teacher aide, I’ve had the opportunity to care for and support children with special needs. I assist with creating a patient, structured, and nurturing environment that helps each child feel comfortable and included. I’ve learned how important it is to be attentive to their unique needs, follow individualized routines, and use positive reinforcement to build trust and communication. This experience has taught me how to adapt activities and remain flexible while still promoting growth and independence.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments at the daycare was helping a child who was usually very shy come out of their shell during story time. I started using funny voices and interactive questions to make it more engaging, and over time, that child began participating more—smiling, laughing, and even raising their hand to speak. Seeing their confidence grow and knowing I helped create a safe space for that to happen was really rewarding. Moments like that remind me why I love working with children.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Baltimore, MD: Sav S.

Hello, my name is Sav, I live in Baltimore with a vehicle so I'm able to commute independently. I worked as a middle school language arts teacher for 2 years, as a special education paraeducator for one year, and as an education technician and ESOL after-school program planner for a year. I was a forest preschool teacher for 2 years, I love spending time outside with kids of any age! Genuine professional who is patient, kind, fun & silly. I value and respect children as individuals. I have been a Nanny for 25 years with extensive expertise in the first 5 years of Early Childhood Development - especially the newborn through 24 months stage. I use Connection Centered/Positive Discipline, the Montessori Method & focus on learning through play that is child led. My approach to child & family care is holistic, loving & inclusive. We will explore the world together moment by moment, learning to master a wide variety of skills, manners, concepts, social interactions, taking DAP risks while we sing, laugh, get creative, attend classes, exploring our surroundings, & doing mundane tasks.

I am happy to pitch in around the house, incorporating some Family Assistant duties in addition to the highest quality childcare to help make your adult lives easier as well.

I am only interested in a Private position, 3-3.5 days a week, 32hrs max. Early start times are very desirable!
