I was a student volunteer at a school for kids with special needs! I assisted the teachers with anything they needed help with and I helped the students complete art projects.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some indoor activities I like doing with children are reading books, art projects, play pretend, dance party, and board games. Some outdoor activities I enjoy doing with children are playing sports, walking to the park, hide and seek in a marked area, tag, play pretend, and chalk. I always allow the children to choose what they want to play with me as long as it’s safe and reasonable!
My experience with special needs children...
I babysat a child with Autism for a few months. I also volunteer at a school for kids with different special needs, which vary!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was nannying for a baby boy and young girl. The baby boy wasn’t able to walk or speak yet. One day, I came over and he was able to say some words! It was the most exciting milestone I ever got to experience. Pretty soon, he was able to say my name!
