I’ve been lucky to work with children in so many rewarding ways! As an after-school teacher at the YWCA, I got to share my love for science and biology through fun, hands-on activities that made learning exciting. I’ve also had the privilege of supporting children with special needs as a paraprofessional, helping them feel confident and included while tackling their daily goals. On top of that, my experience as a nanny has taught me the joy of creating a safe, happy space where kids can thrive—whether it’s through creative play, homework help, or just being a trusted companion. I love bringing energy, patience, and care to everything I do with kids, and I always aim to make their day a little brighter!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging children in activities that are fun, creative, and safe! Some of my favorites include organizing arts and crafts projects, exploring the outdoors with nature walks, and leading simple science experiments that spark curiosity. I also enjoy reading stories together, playing educational games, and creating imaginary adventures that let their creativity shine. Whether it’s building pillow forts, baking kid-friendly treats, or learning something new, I always aim to keep the activities exciting and enriching while ensuring the children feel happy and safe.

The most important part of being a nanny is building a strong, trusting relationship with the children and their family. It’s about creating a safe, nurturing environment where kids feel loved, supported, and encouraged to explore and grow. Being reliable, patient, and attentive to their needs allows me to make a positive impact on their lives, while also offering peace of mind to the parents.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with special needs children as a paraprofessional, providing one-on-one support to help them with their daily tasks and social interactions. I loved finding creative ways to encourage their growth, celebrate their achievements, and make them feel confident and included. It’s been such a rewarding experience to build those connections and see them thrive in their own unique ways.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when the kids and I turned a rainy afternoon into an indoor treasure hunt. We made maps, hid little treasures around the house, and set off on an adventure. The look on their faces when they found each surprise was priceless—so much excitement and joy! It was a simple, yet magical moment that reminded me how fun and imaginative kids can be, and how special it is to be part of their adventures.
