More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a Toddler Teacher as well as oversaw the aftercare/summer program for Sonshine School in East Texas for three and a half years. Moreover, I cared for and taught infants at SpringCreek KinderCare in Dallas! I also participated in Bible Hour on Wednesday nights with the kiddos along with Bible Class on Sundays throughout my college career.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy getting fresh air with children outdoors at the park or in their backyard! I also like to sing songs, sensory activities, read books, and arts & crafts. Lastly, I try to incorporate fun, age appropriate games as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most significant, rewarding part about being a nanny is establishing a healthy, trusting relationship with the child/ren as well as their family. Children deserve someone who is nurturing, a good listener, patient, and respects the boundaries of their parents. My former Directors, colleagues, students, friends, and family will share that I am a reflection of these attributes :)

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have much experience at all with special needs children but I am willing to learn how to communicate & bond with an exceptional child along with meeting their needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was a summer day where the kids & I did themed arts and crafts, played water activities outside, and had popsicles! They were so delighted, they didn't want to go home. Another cherished moment was one of my kids' Mom giving me a big hug & appreciation for helping teach her son to walk!
