A little bit about me

After two years of working as a teacher in Madrid I am returning to NYC! In Madrid I taught ages 6-8 in both English and Spanish. I planned lessons and ran weekly story-time which included after reading workshops and activities. I also worked with older students aged 12-14 giving private tutoring in English for Cambridge language exams (similiar to standardized American tests). I worked, too, as a substitute teacher at La Casita de Ingles in Madrid, where I taught art and baking workshops to students aged 2-8. Before moving to Spain, I held roles in the art education departments at MoMA PS1 and the Art Institute of Chicago, where I taught art-making workshops to student visitor groups. I am available with a completely wide-open schedule beginning in September and would love to care for your kids!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy walks and going to the park (really anything outside!). Though little ones cannot hike or camp by any means, small walks and afternoons in parks and on the beach are some of my favorite ways to spend warm, summer and fall days.

My own interests are in reading and learning, so reading with kids is a big joy. Trips to the library are a favorite.

With a background in art, I enjoy drawing, painting, dancing, and more.
