A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Genesis Rodriguez, I am 17 years old and a senior in high school. I am a very organized and responsible student/person. I live with my single mom and have grew interest in being a nanny since I was 10 years old. I have been a nanny since I was 15 while going to school. Although, I wasn’t completely alone as I would help another nanny who would train me. I am looking for a part-time job because I do go to school Monday through Friday and would only be available on weekends/days I don’t have school/ and vacation weeks. I hope that once I graduate and go to college, I will be able to have a more permanent full time nanny job.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an assistant for an experienced nanny when I was 15 years old. I helped her take care of a newborn baby and 2 other toddler children. This is when my interest in being a nanny grew. After experience there, I began to tutor a 10 year old boy and continue to do so today. I help him with his homework and watch over him while his mom is at work. I also took care of a 4 year old little girl during my summer break from 6am-3pm, but unfortunately I began school so I couldn’t continue. I’m also volunteering at the Holy Cross hospital in Sylmar (Mother and Baby Unit) every Friday.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities would include being outside. Such as being in the pool, going on walks around the neighborhood, and going to the park. Indoor activities would be watching movies, baking, playing with toys, etc…

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is always keeping an eye on the child and having patience.
