A little bit about me

My name is Genesis, and I have over 2 years of professional experience working with children on all sides of the autism spectrum from 8 months to 8 years old. My background as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) has given me a deep understanding of child development, social and emotional learning, and creating consistent routines. I’ve learned that building trust and connection takes time, and is the foundation of helping children feel safe and confident. I helped children learn coping strategies to support their emotional growth and self regulation. A little about me personally, I enjoy journaling while sitting on my balcony, watching new shows, and exploring new places. I’m passionate about mental wellness and supporting those around me, which is what led me to continue my degree and pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Psychology, with the goal of becoming a child therapist in the future to help them grow emotionally and thrive in every part of life.
