I have had previous babysitting and nanny experiences, as well as child care for multiple family members. I have watched children for hours, a day, and overnight on multiple occasions. I have also volunteered multiple times for community events, of which I assisted in activities that included supervising children as they played and enjoyed the event.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
For me, a happy child is everything. I personally enjoy reading, writing, art, movies, singing, baking, video games, and dancing - activities of which I find easy to bond with children to. As an active cheerleader, I also enjoy exercising, running, and cheerleading, which are also activities I love doing and introducing to children. I love a little bit of everything, which makes it easy for me to connect to all types of kids. I am a very adaptable person and nothing is outside of my comfort zone.

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is connecting with the kids under my care. Being an authority figure is important for security and safety, but what makes a positive impact on the kids is being willing to actively connect and engage with them.

One of the sweetest moment I’ve had with a child under my care has to be when I accompanied a family on their visit to an amusement park. The child, the youngest of the children present, was understandably frightened of the rides. After I managed to talk to him and coax him to a few child rides, he held my hand the entire time, smiling and dragging me around to all sorts of rides. This moment is forever memorable to me as its a reminder of how a little kindness can positively affect our youth and help them overcome obstacles.
