A little bit about me

I'm a current sophomore at Vassar College studying Art History. I've been babysitting since I was 11, usually for multiple children between 2 and 9. I worked as a life guard and swim instructor, teaching lessons to children from as young as 10 months to teenagers (including children with disabilities). I currently work as a museum tour guide. Luckily, my current position focuses a lot on giving tours to elementary-aged children developing comfortability in a museum setting. I've always had a passion for working with children, especially in an educational setting. I'm more than a competent cook, an excellent baker, and I don't mind housework at all. Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I've loved teaching swim lessons to children of all ages from getting them comfortable in the water to developing confidence doing different swim strokes. More recently in my job as museum tour guide, I've loved getting to engage in deep conversation with children surrounding art. Overall, I've just tried to have fun when dealing with kids. I think that having a good attitude is one of the best ways to connect with them and it's something I pride myself on.
