Besides babysitting for many families, I worked as a camp counselor at Renbrook Summer Adventure in West Hartford, CT, for three months in 2023. I was also an afterschool counselor at Part 2 Kids in Williston, VT, for about one year in 2024. In both of these positions, I have collaborated with my coworkers to facilitate structured plans that value academic success and social development, as well as create positive relationships with the children. Being a psychology student, I am also well-versed in developmental psychology and children's behavior.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
When stuck inside on a rainy or snowy day I love to do arts and crafts with children, depending on their age. I also enjoy playing their favorite board games and doing easy learning activities. Outside, I love going for walks, playing sports, and doing nature crafts! Working in organized childcare jobs has taught me many fun activities to not just keep children occupied but teach them and let them have fun.
