As an aspiring educator, I spend a lot of time in the classroom. I have spent well over 300 hours in a Kindergarten classroom, assisted in teaching summer school to 3–8-year-olds, worked as a summer day camp counselor for 3–6-year-olds, and tutored second grade students in reading and writing, as well as various other occasional babysitting opportunities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a very creative and adventurous person. I prioritize exploring new places and trying new things. I love going outside and swimming, walking, playing games, etc. I also love crafts and art such as painting, coloring, building things, and more.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part about being a nanny is to be a safe space, physically and mentally. A nanny/babysitter should prioritize the physical needs of a child while ensuring they are safe and accounted for at all times. A nanny should also be a mentally safe space for children. Children should feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to be themself and to try new things. Children should never have to worry that their mistakes or feelings will be ignored or cause harm to them.

My experience with special needs children...

During my time assisting in the classroom, I have worked with various special needs children. I greatly value these experiences. These children hold a special place in my heart, and I look forward to furthering my experience working with them.
