Hi my name is Gracie Lyons, I am a recent college graduate from the University of Alabama. I graduated with my bachelors in bio chemistry, but took quite a few courses in human development and worked at the child development and research center as well as rock quarry elementary. During college I was an intern at DCH Hospital and worked in labor and delivery aiding nurses in all patient care. I have been a great aunt for my 3 year old niece and 1 yr old nephew and absolutely adore watching them grow. I am cpr and first aid certified and am open to helping in light housecleaning etc..

Patience and empathy are two very important factors in nannying. To understand that you are there to watch and tend to someone else’s child. You have to respect each family’s parenting style and values and implement them.

I have had some experience with special needs or disabled children. While I have not nannied for any in the past I have worked with and studied different needs and am confident in my ability to be able to care for a special needs child.
