Hi there! My name is Amanda, but I typically go by Gracie. I have 10 years of child care experience plus many years of babysitting for family members. I have reliable transportation and can provide multiple great references when requested. I also have a clean NC background check (NCDEE) which I can also provide if desired. I enjoy going for walks (weather permitting), reading books, going to the park, educational learning games, and working on art projects. I have some college experience (1 year Early Childhood Education at SCC). I am CPR and first aid certified. I'm very willing to help with cooking, light housekeeping, bottle washing, feeding, grocery pickups, and travel when needed. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Over my 10 years of childcare, I have worked at two different daycares. I throughly enjoyed having multiple children in a school like setting. Ultimately, I chose to go the nanny route due to the freedom of being able to to go places and do things with the child(ren).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I very much love to read to children. I love to see their reactions to different stories and how they feel towards certain characters. I also enjoy going to the park and going for walks around the neighborhood on weather permitting days. Painting and coloring are also some of my favorite things to do with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is making a difference in children’s lives. I love to see how the children grow and how quickly they learn. Being a nanny is the most rewarding career.

My experience with special needs children...

I have some experience with children who are autistic from working at the daycare‘s. I really loved being able to have one on one time with them when doing projects. I tried to keep the environment safe and tried to make them feel comfortable as best as I could.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when I can see the children growing. Being able to watch them learn and morph into their own little personalities, is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a nanny in my opinion.
