I’ve been working in a professional childcare facility as a teacher for four years, and I’ve been working with children for a decade. I have in the past, worked with children with special needs including autism and Down syndrome.

I love playing with kids, exploring their inner world and asking open ended questions while they play. I love doing dance parties and playing outside (weather permitting). I firmly believe kids should get messy, that it’s the biggest indicator that they’re having fun, whether that’s paint or mud or water.

For lack of more recent nanny experience, I’ll share my favorite moments as a teacher, it’s hard to single out a singular moment, I love coming to work and seeing my students’ excitement to see me, I love seeing their assertiveness in action as they tell friends to give them space or stop. I love learning their favorite things and playing pretend and hearing the funny things they have to say. Children have so much wonder and excitement to learn and I want to continue fostering that.
