More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve volunteered for Sunday school in my church many times, I’m looking to help out with youth ministry in the near future, and I’ve been helping care for my siblings and other children for many years. Kids have always been something I have loved, cherished, adored, and had a passion for protecting and providing for.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for two young boys who suffer from hyperactivity among other things. I’ve also cared for infants (twins) who suffered from gastrointestinal issues due to dairy and assisted the mother in seeking care and healing their pain and diets to help reduce colic and length sleep times. I’ve babysat for a foster mother of 8 children all under the age of 10 years old. I ensured they were all fed and prepped for bed and the house was tidy before she arrived home.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Connecting with the infant twins and realizing their pain was related to diet needs. I have also suffered for many years due to dietary needs. When I connected the dots between routines and struggles they were experiencing and consistently going through, and my past experiences of being in pain and the common characteristics between me and them, it was relieving mentally and emotionally to know they could be better taken care of and suffer less. The comfort and happiness I felt knowing they would have answers and solutions to their pain much sooner in life than some, was almost healing for me in a way. I got to help heal their tummies while healing my inner child without even meaning to. They were taken to their primary care to discuss concerns and solutions and things quickly started improving.
