More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a babysitter for 7 years, and have worked with children with special needs for 4 years. I have also been volunteering in church and school programs for almost 10 years.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love all things creative; drawing, painting, DIY crafts, baking, science experiments, and just about anything that involves glitter. I also enjoy going to the park, playing sports (although I can just about guarantee your child will be better than me), swimming (when the weather permits), and playing hide and seek or make believe. And I am always ready for an impromptu tea party or movie night
The most important part about being a nanny...
This one is a hard one too, of course the most important part of the job is the well-being and safety of the kids I’m watching, but personally, I feel like the most important part is the connections we make with our clients. I see all of the kids I care for as my own, and I wouldn’t give that love up for the world.
My experience with special needs children...
Interesting fact about me, I actually have Asperger’s syndrome (also known as high functioning autism)! I found this out whenI was 15, after about a year of working in the special needs class at my church. After I got diagnosed I started volunteering and working with special needs kids, and have been ever since.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many, I think my all time favorite has to be when one of my girls and I went to McDonalds after she got out of school, and the employee gave us free chicken Nuggets and ice cream just because she was so cute.
