More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with kids for over 4 years now. Currently, I hold positions at Kiddie College Childcare Center in Green Bay and University Child Learning and Care Center in Stevens Point. I work 16+ hours a week during the school year in two different classrooms. One serves children ages 3 months to under 2 years, while the other serves children ages 2 and 3. I also volunteer at Marshfield Children's Hospital and work with patients and families in the pediatric unit. When I come home for winter and spring break, I substitute in classrooms as needed. These children can range anywhere from infant to school age. Additionally, for the past three summers, I have had the privilege of co-leading Kiddie College's summer program for school-age children. Thanks to all of this experience, I have had the opportunity to obtain my assistant child care teacher certificate, abusive head trauma prevention training, and CPR/first aid/AED certification.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some things I love doing with kids are reading stories, spending time outside (when Wisconsin weather permits lol), doing arts and crafts, and engaging in activities that prompt cognitive motor function and development.
