A little bit about me

I have a BM (Bachelor of Music) in music performance from The University of Alabama, as well as an MM (Master of Music) in music performance from CSU.

I play the French Horn in the Longmont Symphony as well as teach private lessons and play gigs here and there for various organizations.  

The environment of a large child care center is not for me. With five babies to one adult I’ve been stretched pretty thin at my job and want to be able to give my full attention and aid to any child in my care.   I am CPR/First Aid certified and vaccinated as well as boosted against COVID-19. I am more than willing to do light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming, etc.) and simple meal prep.   I simply adore children and believe there is no such thing as a bad child. Every child has their own individual needs and I pride myself on finding their specific needs and fulfilling them day in and day out.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an Assistant Teacher at Kindercare, mainly in the Infant room with children ages 6weeks to 18 months. I also worked occasionally in the toddler, two year old, three year old, and four year old rooms.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading to children, playing tag and catch, dancing and listening to music, doing arts and crafts including coloring and drawing, and giving lots of snuggles and attention.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think that the most important part of being a nanny is being 100% on the same page as the caregivers. I think it’s important to be an extra helping hand to ensure that any children are safe and well cared for while a caregiver can be out of the home.

My experience with special needs children...

I am 26 years old and my older brother has ASD. As a result, I grew up in an environment that was inclusive of neurodivergent children, and opened my eyes to how not inclusive many environments can be. As a result, I truly love working with special needs kiddos, and I really feel a connection with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I showed up and peeked through the window before entering the room, and the little guy I care for had a grin light up his face and he dropped to all fours and started crawling as fast as he could to get to me. The simple joy in knowing that I am a safe place for a child is more than enough for me.
