I enjoy the arts, have a background in classical music as a violinist and love the beach! Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes my time as a summer camp counselor and recreation leader for the City of Carlsbad, where I supervised and led daily activities for children ages 5–12. I also completed a year-long teaching residency through the CREATE program at California State University San Marcos. This program focused on equity, arts integration, and student-centered learning, and placed me full-time in a 4th- and 5th-grade classroom. As a resident teacher, I built strong relationships with students, supported their academic and emotional growth, and created engaging lessons that integrated movement, visual art, and creativity into the curriculum.

Activities I enjoy doing with children include anything that sparks creativity, curiosity, and joy. I love doing art projects together, whether it’s painting, crafting, or just drawing with sidewalk chalk. I also enjoy learning something new alongside them, like exploring a fun fact, trying a science experiment, or diving into a new book. Playing games, especially ones that encourage teamwork or get us laughing, is another favorite. And I always try to make time for outdoor activities like nature walks, scavenger hunts, or just running around and playing tag. I think a mix of structure and fun helps kids grow in all the best ways.
