More About Me
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
One of my favorite things to do with kids is any little arts and crafts activity, this helps build fine motor skills and creativity!
Story time:
My younger sister came from the foster system and did not know her letters, numbers, shapes, or colors at 4 years old.
One of her favorite activities that we would do was play "easter hopscotch". I found some old easter eggs and put little pieces of paper in them that had random letters and numbers. When she drew an egg and pulled out the slip, she had to yell out the letter or number before jumping on the square with the corresponding letter or number.
Needless to say, she had so much fun, learned, and helped build confidence in what she was learning!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Is creating a relationship with the kids so that they are comfortable and enjoy being around me! I love being able to see kids grow and learn about all the possibilities that are out there.
My experience with special needs children...
My younger sister has mild autism, given I have experience with:
- medication needs throughout the day
- strict routines
- difficulty understanding their own/ others' emotions
- speech disabilities (stuttering, no train of thought, hard to understand)
- emotional breakdowns
- crying (lots of it)
I have been able to have a better understanding of special needs and how to help my sister specifically. While each child is different, I try to understand every child individually to help them the best that I can.

I have a certificate degree in teacher assisting, certification for CPR, experience with special needs, drivers license, and my own vehicle.I enjoy fun activities, both indoor and outdoor, that will keep the youth engaged, active, and learning, all while character building.
