I am a certified ski instructor, I worked for Blue Angels Youth Ski program. I was also a surf instructor at my Dad's, Pv Surf Camp, for many summers. I have been babysitting since I was fourteen, and have experience with all ages! I was a part-time nanny for two years and would be happy to provide reference letters! :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Lots of creative activities! Crafts, games, outdoor adventures, reading, etc. I usually give the kids a few options of activities I think they would enjoy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Working with children has always been such a privilege to me. They have taught me the importance of being present and appreciating all the little things in life. My goal when working with any child is to make them feel heard and hold space for their feelings, creativity, and wonder.
My experience with special needs children...
I spent lots of time volunteering for Peace 4 Kids! My dad is also a special needs Highschool teacher so it allowed me to form connections with lots of kids. I do not have experience with in-home care but I am open to it and a fast learner!
