Hey! My name is Hannah Betker, I’m 19 years old. I’m currently a freshman at Bemidji State University, the plan is to major in nursing! I am CPR and First Aide Certified. I currently work as a CNA and have worked as a DSP in the past. I’ve been babysitting kids in my family and kids around the neighborhood for as long as I can remember! I love spending time with kids and getting to be a role model in their lives. Having a connection with the whole family! Yes, the relationship with a child and their nanny is very important, but the relationship between the nanny and parents is also very important! It opens a path for such clear communication, expectations, problem solving, and even a better understanding of the family and their values as a whole!

My experience with special needs children...

I was a PCA for a young boy (8) with severe autism for a summer. I took him to the beach, shopping, walks, the playground, even the zoo! I also worked as a DSP for 9 months for SEEK Home, where I assisted 12 overall residents in activities of daily living, personal cares, taking medications and navigating each day.
