Hi! My name is Hannah, and I am a recent graduate of Colorado College currently seeking a full-time nanny position. I love working with children and creating a safe, supportive environment where they can learn, play, and grow. I have experience working with children in both classroom and childcare settings. I served as a resident 2nd grade teacher in Chicago, helping guide students through their academic schedules and providing individual support. I have also worked with preschool-aged children at Alcuin Montessori School and as a behavioral technician supporting children on the autism spectrum as I am mildly on the spectrum myself. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoy reading with kids, encouraging creativity, and spending time outdoors. I am a fast learner, patient, dependable, and passionate about helping children feel confident and cared for. I am not the best at cooking but would happily make light meals/prep when needed! The most important part about being a nanny...

I was a teacher's aide in a Montessori primary (ages 3-5) classroom. We had an inflatable kiddy pool for their recess and oftentimes children would put buckets of woodchips and mud into the pool and into each others hair. There was a little girl who went around dumping mud on her classmates. I asked her why she wanted to do this, and she said "so that someone will play with me in the water". I responded by saying she knows better than to dump mud on her peers that are not wearing proper water gear and to try asking her peers if they want to play in the water instead. After completing this request, and receiving no interest from her peers. I played in the muddy water with her. I am a very soft nurturer while still holding children accountable to age-appropriate expectations!
