Hi! I am a professional runner who just moved to Santa Barbara to further my aspirations in athletics, and my career. As a graduate of California State University Chico, I have Bachelor's Degrees in both Child Development and Psychology, with a minor in Health and Wellness. I have experience working within preschool settings, and have lead and created activities in day camp settings. I have also cared for infants, toddlers, and middle-aged children, while occasionally taking care of their animals as well. I have experience working with large groups of children swimming in pools/lake, and am trained in water safety. I am interested in nannying and babysitting, because I love what I can learn from children. Throughout my experience, I have found myself intrigued by what children think about, and how smart/creative they are. When working with children, I have found it important to balance valuing a child's autonomy and independence, while keeping them safe and feeling heard.
