More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a nanny, babysitter, daycare provider helper, house cleaner, and dog/house sitter since I was 12 years old. Throughout junior high and high school I worked with a daycare provider where I was responsible for caring for at least 4-6 children at a time. When watching infants and babies I usually had 2-3 in my care at a time. Through high school and college I was a mother's helper and often spent my weekends nannying for a couple different families. In addition, I took on the role of most of the house cleaning and meal preparation. (Cooking/baking is a passion of mine :))

I will say I've been lucky and had the opportunity to work with many exceptional families over the years, creating countless heart-melting moments with children as young as infants to pre-teens. It would be impossible to pick one single moment as my favorite so I'll just refer to the first one that comes to mind. At the time I was caring for a 6 week old baby girl. I was her primary caregiver for about 10 hours a day 5 days per week. Needless to say our bond grew very quickly and I developed an incredibly special place in my heart for her. Over time, I got to watch her reach milestone after milestone. The first time she laughed - it was a sound that to this day is permanently ingrained in my memory. It was the absolute sweetest sound to hear, and her smile was the most beautiul thing to see as her little eyes twinkled with each tiny giggle. I'll never forget her sweet, happy self.
