A little bit about me

I have 2 great kids of my own who are growing up fast, son is 14 and daughter 11. have worked for the school system in my hometown of Key West, Fl for the past 15 years in various positions. I have worked hands on with kids aging from 3 to 18. And with all levels of learning and health as well. I worked in the school clinic for 3 years as well, and have been CPR and first aid trained for 11 or more years. And I love babies and kids! I have had 22 nieces and nephews and have 7 great nieces and nephews as well. My friends and I all have kids the same ages and smaller and it’s been a blessing to have had so many special little lives around me to watch grow. I would love to help a family who needs someone who would care for their child and feel the confidence and security I know I would want. I love to be outside and explore new things to do. Being new to This area it would be great to do what I did with my kids when they were little, keeping littles busy is my specialty! Thank you!

Extensive Experience in child care. Very knowledgeable in the care of babies and toddlers. Worked with children of all ages for many years. Have experience with special needs children from the ages of 3 to 15. Always babysat numerous children. Very qualified for outings and activities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going for walks if possible. Playing in the park or great place to run around or explore. Painting in a controlled setting. Or coloring if that fits the situation better. Building toys. Watching Disney movies. Eating snacks

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids feel safe and comfortable and also so important that the partners do too! Also that the home or kids be as clean as possible when parents return: coming home to a messy home or dirty baby is a bad feeling. It’s the least that I could do and I hated it when I needed someone to care about that and never experienced it.

My experience with special needs children...

Have worked in pre k, kindergarten, first through fifth grade in the class rooms with special needs kids. One on one aid and contained classroom settings. Was the school nurses assistant, taking on most the duties as she was part time and I was full time. Have experience feeding, administering meds and clean up for any type of children’s needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

All of them! I love the feeling of knowing kids feel safe and can just be kids!
