Is making sure any and all children know they are loved and cared for. They may not be my own children, but do believe me when I say I have (and still do) love each of my clients as if they were my own. As kids that don’t often have the voice the deserve, or even need, and I strive to be that voice for them. With every interaction, I hope my clients walk away knowing I am a safe space for them.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with kids with ASD while at Stride Autism Centers. While at Tanager Place I was placed in the ICFID cottage- which is the cottage with clients that have a type of intellectual disability.

I honestly couldn’t pick just one. I loved being able to greet some of my clients by simply roaring at them. I’ve also been the person that clients have requested when they are upset or distraught.
