A little bit about me

Hi!! My name is Hannah and have my certifications in CPR/First Aid- I've also gone though a basic EMT course for emergency situations.
I am safe driver, non smoker and have tons of energy! I help teach kids fundamentals and education and spend quality time rather than just babysit realizing my role in the child's life.

I recently nannied for my long-term family who had a 7 wk old baby and 4 other young boys that I now love so much! I have 8 years of experience with children including special needs! Most summers I love to volunteer at a Special Needs camp in Guthrie where I work with ages ranging from 6 to 60+. Needless to say I am very experienced with kids of all ages.

I am a college student but am looking for a full time and long term position. I have plenty of references & would be happy to share them with you. I have also been a pick up/drop off nanny, and I can follow a schedule very well! I'd love to get to know you and your family & see if I'd be a good fit

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’m a counselor at a special needs camp in Guthrie. It’s called Make Promises Happen where you are paired with a camper in a one-on-one setting where you care for them in all ways. I’ve done this for about 5 years now.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me it’s absolutely your connection you make with the family and especially the children. Acknowledging the fact that you are now a huge part of the families life is crucial and is not a job you can waiver in and out with.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for all types and I’m extremely comfortable and excited none the less if your kiddo has special needs! My brother has autism so really, caring for children that have special needs is pretty natural for me. It’s important to me to acknowledge they’re people first and then disability second. They aren’t their disability they have it!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is when I was watching 5 of my boys for a family and every single one fell asleep on top of me while we made a palette on the ground watching the lion king eating pizza and popcorn! I love those kiddos.
