Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve worked in a variety of childcare settings over the years. I actually started helping in my church daycare when I was 10, which is where I gained the most hands on experience and developed my love for working with kids. Since then, I’ve worked at multiple childcare facilities including the gym daycare at Peak Health & Wellness in Post Falls and Busy Bees Child Care, which was a preschool program. These experiences taught me how to balance safety, structure, and fun while supporting kids of different ages and personalities.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m a big craft and activity person! I love using hands-on activities to help kids learn and have fun without even realizing they’re learning. I also enjoy reading out loud and would love to eventually help a child learn to read. I’m open to outings, events, and fun activities outside the home as well (with permission, of course!).
The most important part about being a nanny...
What I love most about nannying is the ability to build a close and consistent relationship with the child. In a daycare setting, kids are often in a group of 10 or more, which can feel overwhelming for both the child and the parent. With a nanny, you get one trusted caregiver who truly knows your child, understands their needs, and is able to give them individualized attention. It creates a calmer, more supportive environment where they aren’t overlooked, overstimulated, or struggling for connection.
