The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is the well-being and safety of the children under your care. It involves being responsible, attentive, and nurturing, ensuring that the children feel loved, supported, and protected. Additionally, effective communication with the parents and maintaining open lines of dialogue is crucial for understanding the needs and preferences of the children. A nanny should be flexible, patient, and understanding, adapting to different situations and providing a positive and stimulating environment for the children to grow, learn, and thrive.
My experience with special needs children...
Throughout High School, I was apart of the PAIRS club. Every Tuesday for two months I would lead a group of peers from my school to the ECLC school of Chatham, engaging in activities with students with special needs. This experience consisted of aiding children in activities, creating a safe environment for learning while having fun, taking kids to the bathroom, feeding them light snacks, and playing dancing games, basketball, and crafts. The children’s ages ranged from 14 years old to 22 years old.
The most important part about being a nanny...
While working as a camp counselor, at my preschool that I attended as a child, my campers camp across a book I donated about 14 years ago. They made me read the story at the end of each day as they were infatuated with the colorful fishes in the sea illustrated in the book. At the end of the summer I gifted the child a copy of the book.
